 10. Cat mom hugs baby kitten
This inordinate amount of cuteness was uploaded on May 26 and racked up over 37 million views:

9. The Force: Volkswagon Commercial
This ad came out during the Super Bowl, posted on February 2 and it's the ultimate in parents making their kids feel special without them knowing it.  It amassed over 45 million views:

 8.  Maria Aragon - Born This Way (Cover) By Lady Gaga
This talented girl piggybacked on a popular Lady Gaga song and rode it over 45 million views beginning February 16..  It makes one wonder with all the legislation being thrown around in Congress if we'll see many of these in the future:

7.  The Creep (feat. Nicki Minaj & John Waters)
This video from The Lonely Island, easily the top comedy/pop music group headlined by SNL's Andy Samberg, was released January 29 and went over 48 million views.  And it's not the only one in the Top 10:

6.  Look At Me Now - Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes (Cover by @KarminMusic)
Another cover, this one taking a Chris Brown tune, but the woman in this video can kick out some major Busta Rhymes flow and that's the amazing draw to this video uploaded April 12 and collecting over 49 million views:

5. Nyan Cat [Original]
One of the most inexplicable Internet memes of the past year, it basically contained everything a little girl dreams about: cats, Pop Tarts, and rainbows.  Uploaded April 5 and nabbing over 53 million views, here's the most repetitive hit of the year.  Try getting that theme song out of your head, it might require banging:

4. Talking Twin Babies - PART 2 - OFFICIAL VIDEOThis is as basic as it gets.  Baby cuteness involving gibberish and laughter.  It carries on like a real conversation, though, and that's the great part.  Uploaded February 14, this one gathered over 56 million:

3.  Jack Sparrow (feat. Michael Bolton)Lonely Island's 2nd entry into the YouTube Top 10 this year features Michael Bolton in a great self-mockery/redemption kind of video.  Bolton has had it hard since the days of Office Space, and this is a great nonsense musical mash-up involving an overboard love of movies.  Uploaded May 7, this one got 60 million views:

2.  Ultimate Dog Tease
In this very simple video (I think with little or no effects), a dog's actions and mouth movements are used for dubbed dialogue where the owner teases him with delicious food descriptions.  Uploaded on May 1, this video grabbed 74 million views:

1.  Rebecca Black - Friday - Official Music Video
No video summed up ironic entertainment more than Rebecca Black's "Friday," which collected an astounding 167 million views before being taken off the site, then re-entered three months ago and hammering home another 12 million or so.  Not a good song, but catchy, and it led to uncountable spoofs and accidental singings in the shower:
